Art Fusion Show 2008 - Artists from Maharashtra and West Bengal
by Suhas Naik Satam

Nehru Centre has been promoting art and artists over 16 years. In March 2007, the Centre presented the First Art Fusion Show to offer an opportunity to artists from Mumbai and rest of Maharashtra to exhibit
their works.

Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's vision of India is the guiding force behind the Centre's activities. In tune with that, the Centre, through this event proposes to fuse works of artists from West Bengal with artists from Maharashtra. We look forward to art lovers and collectors to make the event a success.

Nehru Centre has received enthusiastic response from artists from West Bengal and Maharashtra thus giving an opportunity to art lovers to see the Fusion of art works from the two states that have a rich tradition of art.

The Art Fusion Show 2008 was inaugurated by eminent artist Akbar Padamsee on Tuesday, 4 March 2008 at 6 pm. at the Hall of Vision, Second floor, Discovery of India Building, Dr. Annie Besant Road, Worli, Mumbai 400018.
