On Gulf Dirt Track National Championship…

The blending was perfect. Sun, Rain and Wind were there at the Gulf Dirt Track National Championship held at Coimbatore on Sunday.

The riders made optimum use of this typical Coimbatore blend. They set the dirt track on fire enthralling the youth who were eagerly waiting for this one day event held near Codissia grounds.

Pramod Joshua was the man who made the most use of the lively environment with his TVS bikes. He won three gold’s in as many categories of 260 CC bikes

Private Expert Championship - Foreign Motorcycles up to 260 CC (Group A, 2 & 4 stroke): Shamim Khan, Pinkesh Thakkar, Aamir Mithaiwala.

Private Expert Championship - Motorcycles up to 260 CC (Group A, 2 & 4 stroke, Race -1): Sreenish Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Basheer Ahmed.

Private Expert Championship - Motorcycles up to 260 CC (Group A, 2 & 4 stroke, Race -2): Sreenish Kumar, Snehal, Basheer Ahmed.

Novice Championship – Motorcycle above 80 CC upto 150 CC (Group D, 2 Stroke):

Natraj, Arun Babu and Mohammed Jain. The same persons in same order won in the Novice Championship - Motorcycle above 125 CC upto 260 CC (Group D, 4 Stroke).

In the Non Championship event, Shamim Khan, Vineet V Kurup and Vignesh took the honours in the scooters up to 110 CC group D.

In the Local Class – Motorcycles up to 160 CC (Group D, $ Stroke), Rajkumar, VenuRamesh Kumar and Prakash.R shared the honours.

Professional riders from TVS Racing team added glamour to this show, exhibiting their skills at high speeds. Besides, experts from Bangalore, Coimbatore, Jodhpur, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Bhopal and Mumbai put up an excellent show.

This second round of five series was organized by Sportscraft, Mumbai in association with Coimbatore Auto Sports Club (CASC), under the aegis of Federation of MotorSports Club of India (FMSCI).

The other 3 rounds will be staged at Hyderabad, Gurgoan and Belgaum.
