Radjabov to fight Topalov for the World Title in April 2007

Sofia 15th May 2006. World Chess Champion Veselin Topalov who will be taking on Vladimir Kramnik in September this year in Elista , Kalmykia, will take on challenger Azerbaijanian Grandmaster Teimour Radjabov in Baku in 2007 for the world title. This is how ever subject to Topalov winning the September match against Kramnik
The manager of the chess World Champion Veselin Topalov – Silvio Danailov and the Minister of Sport of Azerbaijan Azad Rahimov agreed yesterday on a game for the world title to be held between Topalov and the Azerbaijanian Teimour Radjabov (ELO 2720].
The game will probably take place in April 2007 in Baku. The award money will be $ 1,5 million, of which $ 1 million will be for Topalov. According to FIDE rules every chess player with ELO over 2700 can challenge the World Champion in a game for the title.
