Hunter and the Hunted

In olden times it was fashion

Now it takes different shapes

One hunts the fox, another a tiger

Now it is oil..oil, everywhere

Once powerful are no more

New have arisen

They follow the same path.

They do not see beyond their nose.

History is forgotten

They say it is out of shape

Each day, it seems, a

new planet or cluster is

sighted.

Why is our vision so blighted

The Hunted become the Hunter oft times

Tables turn, perhaps when the

New Moon is sighted.

Gurukuls vanish, come the new institutes.

In India, the Pathshala seems

fading..step in the schools

One to one relationships no more

Education churning out more & more.

TV bombarding, media..journalists

Not for behind

Everyone seems to be in a bind.

Half baked education,

Seems to rule, foolish display

Of relative wealth blinds everyone.

What is the way out, oh how to

Score a ton !

Outburst, anger presides

Once rampant peace recedes!

Rue the day we woke into

this age.

Who the hunter, who the hunted ?

Think me, we the hunter, we the hunted.
