To make the highest quality kids education available to the masses, Brainworks is targeting the launch of 35 schools in various cities across the nation now and 150 schools by June 2009.
Brainworks has designed its curriculum and methodology based on scientific brain research studies. The goal of Brainworks preschools is to provide a research driven teaching and learning environment that maximizes the ‘windows of opportunity’ for the brain for children between 0 to 6 years of age.
Ms. Lina Ashar - Educationist and Founder of Brainworks, elaborates, “There has been in the last ten years an explosion of knowledge in neurobiology and behavioral sciences. At Brainworks we are applying these scientific advances to strengthen early childhood education as the early childhood years lay the foundation of all subsequent learning of an individual.”
Brainworks brings a world class scientific and affordable education system within the reach of every child, in an atmosphere of warmth and friendship to respond to the individual needs, interests and maturity levels of each child. Brainworks enables children to develop their social, emotional, physical, and academic skills resulting in a joy towards learning. Parent participation is an integral part of the programme at Brainworks. The aim is to make each parent more aware of the child’s development, behavior patterns, and positive guidance techniques. Brainworks strives to nurture and encourage the natural qualities of creativity, curiosity and eagerness to learn in our children who are guided to develop to their fullest potential.
All Brainworks schools are located conveniently in residential areas. The average school size is about 1500 to 2000 square feet including at least four classrooms, a play area, a pantry, storage spaces and child-friendly washrooms. Many of the schools have an attached garden as well. The schools have facilities such as books and toy library, water games, audio-visual aids, sandpits, painting and craft, dance and music. Each cluster schools have a teacher training centre as well.
