ACK Media is launching Feature-length animated films based on the ACK stories. The first film - Tripura: The Three Cities of Maya being designed and directed by Chetan Sharma, Animagic Studio.
Amar Chitra Katha comics the most popular source of the great Indian epics, mythology, history, and fables for generations of Indians is launching Feature-length animated films based on the ACK stories. The first film - Tripura: The Three Cities of Maya being designed and directed by Chetan Sharma - will debut later in the year on Cartoon Network, the no. 1 kids' channel in India and the home to country's largest library of Indian animation titles.
ACK Media is co-producing the film with Animagic studios who have designed a new look that not only reinvents the ACK comic art style for the world of 2D animation but change the audience perception of the mythology features and add a new edge to the art of animated storytelling. Tripura, one of the best-loved Amar Chitra Katha titles, is a story of Shiva, recounting an epic battle between Devas and Asuras over their kingdom of the three cities.
Announcing the partnership, Samir Patil, CEO, ACK Media said 'We were keen on developing a new look for ACK films and Chetan's earlier work and passion for creating distinctive animation rooted in Indian art styles convinced that they were the right partners.
