Consumer Awareness Programme on Saturday, 15th March, 2008

Indian Merchants’ Chamber in collaboration with Bombay Telephone Users’ Association has organized a Consumer Awareness Programmeto celebrate the World Consumer Rights Day on 15 March 2008 at the Jaihind College Auditorium, A Road, Churchgate, Mumbai 400020. The programme will start with the registration at 9.00 am and continue till 6.00 pm.

In this event, the CEOs of service provider companies in Mumbai will be presented the title of GRAHAK MITRA by prominent citizens and consumer organisations. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and several prominent and knowledgeable speakers on the subjects have consented to be panel members for the different sessions. Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications are the GOLD sponsors and Tata Teleservices and MTNL are SILVER sponsors for the event.

The subjects for debate in 3 sessions are Number Portability, Spectrum and Consumer Grievances Redressal Systems and how these have and will affect common consumers in the past and future.
