Indian Institute of Jewellery announces 15 day course on Lac Artistry

Mumbai,2 August ’2006: The Indian Institute of Jewellery (IIJ), India’s Premier institute in Jewellery Technology, announces admissions open for a 15-day Lac Course at IIJ Campus, Modern Centre, 101 Sane Guruji Marg, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.
Commencing from the 18th September to – 2nd October 2006, the course will be held in collaboration with Paramparik Karigar and is aimed at reviving the age-old yet dying craft of Lac. The course will be a full-time 90 hour course, conducted from Monday to Saturday 8.30 a.m. – 3.30 p.m. The last date for registration for the course is 31st August.
To give adequate attention to each and every participant in terms of mastering the art the course would comprise of limited seats with a batch of 15 participants. To be sure not to miss this opportunity, interested participants can register with an initial fee of Rs.5000. The fee would be utilized to block the seat for the course and would further be adjusted with the tuition fee. The 15- day course will be conducted by Master craftsman and State Merit Award winner Avaz Mohammed who has traveled all over India and abroad, enthralling audiences while demonstrating his craft.
