DogmaTone Records: India learns to rock!
Indian record label, DogmaTone Records officially released a compilation of some of India's best, yet unknown Rock bands, on March 1st, 2007.
The album is titled 'The First Mutiny: Dogmas of Indian Rock' and is available at all major music stores. Comprising of bands from all zones across India, songs the album have been aired on AIR's Rainbow FM already.
According to DogmaTone Records, "Indian rock has been neglected by the people this far. Every other genre of music has a platform in India. It is only rock music and rock bands that have a niche market and audience. Ou aim is to change the demographics of the market and make rock music a saleable genre in the Indian market."
DogmaTone Records (or DTR as they are fondly known in the local rock circle) had professionals work on the sound and recording of the songs. The songs were arranged at Purple Beast Studios and some of the songs were re-mastered by sound engineer Raj Narayan Das.
Bands from all across India are welcome to send in their demos to DogmaTone. They can get in touch via the website - visit www.dogmatone.com or send an e mail to info@dogmatone.com
The future for Indian rock looks bright as long as companies and individuals keep coming ahead to provide the required support and encouragement to Indian Rock bands.
