Food For Thought
- Lakshami
So everyone around complains that we just don’t have time for family, friends or even for ourselves. Why??? Ever questioned yourself about that? I doubt it. No I’m not trying to put your doubt, but folks lets be very true to ourselves, I don’t know you so whatever you say is true to me, but is it to yourself. Think over.
Let’s see, what the most common excuses…hmmm…I am saving for tomorrow. Great, excellent, the perfect child, citizen and whatever other titles we accumulate over a course of time. So when does this future actually materialize? When you are 50+, 60+ or maybe better still 70+, by now you just about have all you need. So why are our elders complaining or if not that, making statements like ‘I would like for my child to enjoy life or live a life better than mine.’
What absolutely baffles me is that we slog and save and completely forget that the year to enjoy is passing us by without us even realizing it. Is there a reason to regret then? More importantly, do we even have the right to regret? Sorry to say, but no. We chose that for ourselves.
Ever wondered how the fear of tomorrow, ruins our today
As humans we think that if the future isn't secure enough then our life is ruined. I'm no different I admit. Stop and think! if our today isn't good enough tomorrow is never going to be any better. The small joys of life are neglected and cast aside as we spend our lives in accumulating for the future, but that future never comes, because every tomorrow has yet another tomorrow...hmmmmm
Think of the beach, soft sand under your feet, warm sunshine, gently lapping waves at your feet or the dark forest's with unspoken, unknown mystery waiting to unfold.
You haven't experienced a thing if you haven't been there, done it.
And still I know, once I wake up in the morning, I'll be back to thinking about the never to come tomorrow...
